Make nursing

work for you.

Opportunity is calling all nurses.

If you've hit a brick wall in your career, we understand. It happens to everyone in every job at some point. The thing is, you don't have to quit nursing to get the career satisfaction you deserve. Our profession doesn't start and end on the ward. It's a series of open doors to new career experiences – if you know where to look.

That's why we created the Opportunity Calls Hotline and site. It has all the information you need to take control of your career and get the most out of nursing.

Who is this site for?

Opportunity Calls is for all nurses; nursing students, internationally-trained nurses and nurses who feel stuck in a rut and want to try something new.

The site takes you through your options and when you're ready, you can chat to an advisor who'll help you create a plan to turn your hopes into action.

Is this a job site?

No. Well, not exactly. You will find links to jobs at The Ottawa Hospital here, but that's not the main purpose of this site. It's a resource for all nurses to learn about all options a nursing career can offer you - in the hope you'll find something that really excites you again.

Who created the hotline and site?

Opportunity Calls was created by The Ottawa Hospital to address urgent concerns they saw in the nursing community and help nurses stay in the career they love.
